Jackie's Gig Harbor kayak tours take about two and a half hours and are by appointment only. Customers meet Jackie at Ship to Shore Marine and Kayaks at 3306 Harborview Drive in Gig Harbor. Please try to meet at the appointed time - being late cuts down the time you get to spend on the water. All customers are fitted with life vests for safety and any inexperienced participants are given very basic instructions on kayak safety and operation: entering and exiting the kayak, paddling technique and more. Different sizes and styles of kayaks and paddles are assigned to each participant based on height and body type, then the kayaks are loaded on a trailer and taken to the Gig Harbor boat ramp for launch.

Things to bring with you:
Layered clothing. Weather in Gig Harbor sometimes starts cold and ends warm. Dress so that you can add or remove layers for comfort.

A small snack such as a trail mix bar, granola bar or another healthy, energy-sustaining snack.
A water bottle or canteen filled with water.
Sunblock (very important, especially on overcast or partly-cloudy days)
A change of dry clothing (leave in your car to change into after your excursion, just in case)
If you wish to bring a camera, we recommend you purchase and bring a disposable model. You may bring your expensive camera if you wish, at your own risk.
